The driving force behind my goals and accomplishments is the inherent responsibility to understand the world around me in order to serve and work with others to make it a better place. In college, I studied public policy, cultural anthropology, and human rights. I am thankful for my abundant learning experience at Duke University.

While my core values of service and community have shaped my academic interests, they are further reflected in my endeavors beyond the classroom. Proudly, I am continuing the legacies of service established by my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., whose mission is “to serve ALL mankind”, volunteering as Communications Director for a mentorship program dedicated solely to women of color, and supporting various efforts dedicated to uplifting the underrepresented. I also work hard to contribute to legacies and culture through music, understanding how it is a universal language with boundless abilities to heal and effect change.
